Learning the craft of acting takes you on a powerful journey through self-confidence, composure, creative expression and empathy. You will build strong communication skills which can enhance your life, crucial through these formative years from 10 - 17.
Our courses focus purely on the craft of acting, led by professional actors with degrees in Acting from Drama School and experience working in the industry. We can help you develop your acting skills in the same way as professionals learn and grow their talent.
Actor Studio (11-17yrs)
- Learn professional drama school training
- Discover a wide variety of acting styles and methods from Stanislavsky to Improvisation
- Learn how to create a character from scratch
- Understand sub-text and how to bring your character to life
- Perform in the final showcase.
Over 10 weeks you will be guided through professional actor training exactly as you would learn it at Drama School. We teach many different methods and you will learn how to work with text and portray amazing characterisations.
Prepare for lots of laughs as you form new friendships and develop your unique talent. Coached by expert Actor Directors, we can coach your acting skills to make you shine in your performance.
You will perform a monologue or duologue as part of our final showcase performance on the last session. Family and friends are invited to come and support your performance.
Led by professional, experienced actors, all equipment is provided.
Classes are held at Hemdean House Studio, Hemdean Road, Caversham RG4 7SS. Classes run from 4 - 5pm.

Filmmakers Studio (11-17yrs)
- Learn to act on camera
- Discover professional screen acting techniques
- Write Scripts & Storyboards
- Become a Director
- Shoot your own short film
- Make new friends in your film crew
- Learn to edit your movie
This 10 week club will take you through the process of Writing, Acting, Directing and Editing your own short film. You will be able to create your own scripts and story boards and learn and practice screen acting techniques before shooting your movie with your fellow film crew. The last part of the course is spent editing your movie so that we can showcase and share your final film in the last class of the term.
A fantastically, fun course that will help you become comfortable both in front of and behind the camera. Learn the art of screen acting and develop storytelling and editing skills that will help you in your future career and personal creative projects.
